Defender Eric Ssenjobe came off the bench to net URA FC’s only goal of the evening, to rescue a point over UPDF FC in a Tuesday Uganda Premier League game.
The former Police FC defender, who came on at halftime, scored in the 77th minute to cancel out Hussein Hassan Zzinda’s second-minute freekick at the Bombo Military Barracks Grounds.
Despite a point on the road for the Tax Collectors, they’re still a team locked in mediocrity, having now gone five games without a single victory.
They stayed unmoved in tenth on the 15-team table, with just 13 points in 12 matches this season. They could slip down should pending results from games go against them.
The result looks even worse for 13th-placed UPDF (seven points), who have now gone eight matches without a win. They have lost six times in that spell.
Both teams will want to make quick amends in their next matches. While UPDF will visit SC Villa on December 11, URA will host the same opponent six days later.
