After registering their first win in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) this season against Busoga United FC, URA FC will be in search of another victory when they host Soltilo Bright Stars FC.
Ahead of the Wednesday StarTimes Uganda Premier League bout in Nakisunga, goalkeeper Nafian Alionzi has urged his teammates to work hard towards finding consistency.
“We have not had a good start to the season but the win against Busoga brought back a bit of confidence into the team,” Alionzi told the club media ahead of the game before adding.
“The approach is to take it on game by game and we now have the momentum going into the other games.”
“We have to find a way possible to start winning games consistently to keep ourselves in top positions,” he added.
Alionzi was elevated to the position of the club’s captain after the 1-0 loss to Express FC replacing long-term servant Shafik Kagimu.
The Tax Collectors take on a side that is yet to win a game this season, Bright Stars have drawn all their four games played so far.
A point separates both sides on the 15-team SUPL log, whereas Sam Timbe’s charges are positioned seventh with five points, Asaph Mwebaze’s coached side is on four points in 10th place.
Last season, URA defeated Bright Stars 3-0 and 3-1 in the first and second leg respectively.
Timbe will be without defender Huud Mulikyi who is out suspended having accumulated three yellow cards.
He will rely on strikers George Ssenkaaba and Living Kabon who have both managed two goals so far this season.
Wednesday’s visitors have only scored two goals through Emmanuel Loki and Muhammad Kyeyune in three games and Mwebaze will be hoping to improve on their goal return as they continue their quest for their first win of the season.
