Four time Uganda Premier League champions URA will hope to keep their unbeaten run intact when they host tricky Onduparaka in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League on Friday at Namboole stadium.
Sam Ssimbwa’s charges along with Vipers are the only unbeaten sides currently in the league.
The tax collectors’ last outing was a 2-0 win over Bright Stars couldn’t have come at a better time especially after a series of draws.
URA have struggled to find the back of the net this season managing only four goals in their last 11 games this season.
Onduparaka meanwhile have been the dark horses this season, at least since Interim coach Simeone Masaba took over the mantle.
This is another different tournament from our last game and we are playing URA FC away from home. It will be a bit difficult but we are going to put up a fight in tomorrow’s game,” Masaba said before adding.
“We need to keep the possession upfront and put up a good defense to make sure we score goals and avoid conceding.”
The Arua based side have managed five wins and a loss in their last six games in all competitions, they also know how to pick points on the road.
Onduparaka are third on the log on 23 points, a win on Friday would take them to second, a point behind table leaders KCCA FC least until Vipers play on Saturday.
Currently on eighth position and on 17 points, victory for URA will take them to 4th spot, level on points with Mbarara City who play Saturday.
Elsewhere, Express host struggling Nyamityobora FC, an opportunity to return to winning ways having picked up one win in their last five outings.
“We are playing a team below us, a team fighting to go up with us it means it will be a difficult game and we are coming from a festive season which has a lot of disorganizations,” Kefa Kisala said.
“We have managed to keep the boys and they have gone through it well to see that we win that game,” he added.
Kisaala will be hoping strikers Eric Kambale and Tony Odur get their scoring boots back, a win for Express could take them from tenth to sixth spot on the log.
