With the 2022/23 Uganda Premier League season a fortnight away, URA FC have upped their preparations, with the hope of making a strong campaign.
The Tax Collectors have fashioned a second international friendly against Tanzanian heavyweights, Azam FC slated for Sunday.
The bout at the Azam Complex, Dar es Salaam comes after URA’s 1-1 stalemate against Rayon Sport FC, in what was their first international buildup match.
Head Coach Sam Timbe will be keen on trying to make his new signings quickly gel in the team ahead of the forthcoming season.
The Taxmen have signed defender James Begisa, midfielder Salim Abdallah, goalkeeper Yusuf Wasswa, and forward George Ssenkaaba.
The team has also seen the departures of key players including Cromwell Rwothomio, Steven Mukwala, Ivan Sserubiri, and Ashraf Mandela among others.
They finished third in the 2021/22 season, behind runners-up KCCA FC and eventual champions, Vipers SC.
