Two members of URA’s backroom staff George William Lutalo and Augustine Nsumba have left the club following the expiry of their contracts.
Lutalo has been second in command under former coach Sam Ssimbwa, while Nsumba, a former player at the club also worked as a first-team coach while also doubling as URA FC’s Junior team coach.
Lutalo and Nsumba had joined the club alongside Ssimbwa with whom they have worked under for the past three years.
URA officially confirmed the departure of Ssimbwa in August after talks of a possible contract extension hit a dead-end with his contract expiring on June 30.
Meanwhile, Uganda Cranes U-23 assistant coach Simeone Massa is taking charge of the tax collectors on an interim basis.
The ex Cranes’ international and former URA captain Masaba will be in charge of preparing the team ahead of the CAF Confederation Cup that begins next month.
Former Vipers coach Ssali Biano and goalkeeper coach Billy Kiggundu remain part of the interim coaching team under Masaba.
URA will appoint new members to their coaching set-up, with former BUL Bidco FC coach Peter Onen believed to be in the final stages of his deal to join the club as a head coach.
