For the fifth straight meeting between Kirinya Jinja SS and BUL, a winner couldn’t be found after both sides settled for a two all draw in StarTimes Uganda Premier League game played on Sunday evening at the Mighty Arena in Kirinya.
BUL took a first half lead through Farouk Banga and Deogratius Ojok in the first 1st and 30th minute respectively.
Kirinya started the comeback 11 minutes into the second stanza through Fred Amaku before Joel Madondo left with a scissors, it was his eighth of the season.
It was the first to end with that scorer line the first two in the 2016/2017 season ended in barren draws. It was a one all draw in both meeting last season.
For the second straight game, David Bagole was voted the Pilsner man of the match for his industrious work in midfield.
BUL are sixth on 19 points, while their hosts are just below on seventh position on 18 points
In Arua, Caesar Okhuti was voted Pilsner Man of the Match as Onduparaka defeated Police 2-1.
Skipper Rashid Toha gave the hosts a first half lead from 12 yards to bag his second of the season, before Okhuti doubled Onduparaka’s lead midway the second.
For the second straight game, Simon Mbazira scored a beauty for Police but it wasn’t enough to even salvage a point for the cops.
With 12 outings, Onduparaka jump to second with 23 points, one behind table leaders KCCA, Police drop to ninth tied on 17 points just like eighth placed URA
URA picked their third win of the season after they defeated Bright Stars at Mwererwe 2-0. It was former U23 international Robert Omunuk and Charles Sempa who made it happen for the Sam Ssimbwa coached side.
URA improve their position to eighth with 17 points while Bright Stars remain fifth, two points above URA.
