It was an action-packed weekend in the Vietnam I-league for Ugandan ambassadors Moses Oloya, Geoffrey Baba Kizito and forward Joseph Mpande at their clubs Hanoi T$T, Saigon, and Hai Phong FC respectively.
At the 8000 sitter San Van Dong Hang Day stadium in Hanoi City, Moses Oloya played full time as his Hanoi side defeated Saigon of Geoffrey Kizito 2-0 in a match Kizito also played full time for Saigon.
Vietnam ace Do Hung Dung netted Hanoi’s first goal in the 59th minute before Nigerian forward Ganiyu Bolayi Oseni put ice on the cake with the second in the 90th minute.
It was Oloya’s fifth match of the season managing a total of 269 minutes on the field of play from a total of 13 games, Kizito was playing his sixth game managing a total of 450 minutes from 13 games.
Hanoi currently sit second on a 14-team log with 25 points while Saigon are seventh with 18 points.
Elsewhere, forward Joseph Mpande Mbolimbo also played full time as his Hai Phong side lost 4-2 at Than Quang Ninh at the 5000 sitter San Van Dong Cura Ong stadium.
It was Moaned’s 13th game out of 13 games so far accumulating 1170 minutes netting three goals with two yellow cards to his name. His Hai Phong side currently sits in 10th place with 15 points.
