Having lost their last three StarTimes Uganda Premier League games, SC Villa is up looking for refurbishment when they welcome Mbarara City at Mandela national stadium Namboole on Wednesday evening.

The record champions have lost to KCCA FC, Kirinya Jinja SSS and Onduparaka FC in their last three outings, they are now looking for something that put a smile on their faces.

“We are looking forward at getting back to winning ways in tomorrow’s game,” SC Villa head coach Douglas Bamweyana said after the team’s last training.

“We have had a terrible patch of results lately going three games without a win, our performance does not exactly reflective of results, we just had so many costly personal errors in dangerous areas which we are going to solve against Mbarara,” he added.

The game will be played under floodlights, the second this season that also involve Villa, they lost 2-0 against Kirinya in the first, Bamweyana is optimistic that his side will come out victorious this time around.

“We are very ready for the night game, it’s just about time but it has nothing to do, the effects are affecting both sides, we can’t have any concerns about the timing.”

“It’s actually a good development for Ugandan football, it’s a good development for our fans who cannot make it to the stadium during working hours,” he noted.

Villa’s last victory came against Paidha Black Angles, they won 2-1, former Mbarara skipper Asuman Alishe insists Wednesday is the day.

“We have to see that we put all the efforts together with the technical team, the players to see that we win that match,” the defender said.

“I was their captain but now am in Villa, this is my home and we are not scared against Mbarara,” he added.

SC Villa will be without captain Mandela Ashraf who is suspended while Ndahiro Derrick and Mukisa Lincoln will also miss through injury.

Meanwhile, Habib Kavuma, Adriko John and goalkeeper Kivumbi Samuel are all back from injuries and are ready for tomorrow’s game.

SC Villa sit 12th on the 16 team log with 28 points just two positions and eight points away from relegation danger.
