Vipers away in Buhinga, Villa entertain Paidha

By Clive Kyazze

When Vipers Sports Club visit Buhinga Stadium to take on Tooro United, two interesting stats will stand in each other always.

Vipers have won 8 of the 11 meetings, the other three have ended in draws, Tooro United yet to taste victory in this one.

From Soana to Tooro United and switch of venues from Kavumba to Buhinga, the Wasswa Bossa coached side is yet to lose a game there.

Their last victim being Paidha Black Angels and they will be aiming at improving their record especially at home.

“They’re strong at home,” Vipers head coach Michael Nam Ouma told the club website before adding.

“They fight and have good players but we are not going to fear them, there’s no doubt the boys must show character and pick positive results.”

Vipers travel for this one without skipper Taddeo Lwanga who is serving a suspension, Geoffrey Wasswa is also ruled out through injury while Yayo Lutimba is dropped for this one.

Striker Tito Okello and defender Bashir Asiku are also not part of the traveling squad but has new signing Karim Nizigiyimana bracing himself for his first away experience with the league holders.

Vipers will be aiming at saving some face by avoiding a second straight defeat after their 3-1 loss to SC Villa at Kitende on Saturday.

A win for Vipers will take them to 40 points, a point behind leaders KCCA FC who host BUL at Lugogo on Wednesday.

Villa host Paidha

The record champions hosts struggling Paidha Black Angels, it should be an easy outing for the Douglas Bamweyana coached side but how they respond after their big win at Kitende will be key.

Villa are 12th on the 16 team log with 18 points, Paidha are on the bottom of the log with a very poor record on the road.

Paidha have only picked a point off Nyamityobora in their last eight outings on the road.

Villa’s home record is appalling, their 2-0 win against Express is the only home win this season, they have lost four and drawn two.
