The StarTimes Uganda Premier League will make its long-awaited return on December 3, with KCCA visiting Soltilo Bright Stars at the Kavumba Recreation Grounds the first game of the season on December 3.
Initially, champions Vipers were scheduled to get action underway, but not anymore according to the updated draft fixtures released by the league secretariat.
Vipers who were set to play newly promoted side MYDA FC will not be in action until at least December 12, given their ventures in the CAF Champions League.
The Venoms will travel to Sudan for the second leg of their Champions League preliminary round qualifier against Al Hilal on Saturday, December 5.
Their continental ventures are enough to grant them an extended break before they get their title defence underway.
Meanwhile, Busoga United and Kitara FC who were not included on the initial fixture draft have been included after fulfiling their licensing process.
Busoga United will get their campaign underway on the road against UPDF FC on December 5. Kitara will also play their first-ever top-flight game away to Kyetume FC at the FUFA Technical Center in Njeru on the same day.
Midweek and weekend fixtures are at a premium with lunchtime kick-offs also included as organisers try and fit the season into seven months.
Only five matchdays will be played until December 20, when the league will take a two-month break to allow the Uganda Cranes CHAN team participate in the African Nations Championship (CHAN) due in Cameroon between January – February 2021.
