The Vipers SC cheque book is open and the leaflets are flying all over the place through signing players in preparation for defending the league next season.
The four-time league winners who controversially sealed left-back Disan Galiwango’s move from Express on Wednesday have struck again snapping up young striker Jamil Kaliisa from Bright Stars.
Football256 reliably understands the forward is set to pen a three-year deal with the Venoms with personal terms already agreed on.
“Yes, it’s true Jamil (Kaliisa) has agreed with Vipers,” a source that preferred anonymity exclusively told this website.
“And by the end of today, it should be a done deal. He is a very talented lad and has a bright future ahead of him,” the source added.
Kaliisa’s stand out performances with Bright Stars include a brace as they eliminated URA FC at the round of 16 at Namboole as Fred Kajoba’s side then marched to their first Uganda Cup final in 2019.
He also had a standout performance against SC Villa in the Uganda Premier League, giving Bright Stars the lead before Villa turned it around to win 2-1.
Kaliisa who is signed up by Phenom sports a talent management agency will now tussle it out for a starting berth alongside fellow forwards Fahad Bayo, Shaban Muhammad and Abraham Nduggwa.
