Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC have formally unveiled Brazilian-Spanish National Beto Bianchi as the new head coach.
The former Angolan national team head coach takes over from Brazilian Roberto Oliveira alias Robertinho, who departed for Simba SC.
The 56 year old has penned down a two-year employment contract at Kitende, that will run at least till 2025.
He will be deputized by compatriot Roberto Martinez, Richard Wasswa as the second deputy and Ibrahim Mugisha as the goalkeeping coach.
Previously, Bianchi has been at Ciudad de Murcia B between 2004-2007, Atlético Ciudad (2007-2009) and at Zamora between 2009-2010.
He also coached at Lorca Deportiva (2011), Batavia Union (2012-2013), Pro Duta (2013–2014),
RRFC (2014–2015), Kazma (2020-21) and at GD Interclube in 2021.
Notably though, the experienced tactician worked with African gaints Petro du Luanda between 2016-2019 and the Angolan national team in 2017.
The UEFA A Pro license holder will be tasked to lead the Venoms from the CAF Champions League group stages to the knockout stages.
He will also be obliged to defend the Uganda Premier League, as they currently lie third on the log, behind BUL FC and KCCA FC.
