Arguably the pacesetters, Wakiso Giants FC have today unveiled the club’s new bus and also commissioned the renovation works of their home ground in Wakiso district, ahead of their first season in the Star Times Uganda premier League.

Wakiso Giants FC gained direct promotion into Uganda’s top flight league having finished top of the Elgon group table in the FUFA big league last season. And advanced preparations for the 2019/2020 season are underway.

On Thursday Wakiso Giants hosted the media and other top official at their Wakisha home ground in Wakiso to give an update on the developments on the ground but also show off their transport means for the new season.

The state-of-the-art transport means were donated to the club by well-wishers in the USA through their brand ambassador and celebrated musician Jose Chameleon according to the club chairman Hassan Lule.

“We are very delighted to have a bus with us here through our brand ambassador Jose Chameleon, it’s been collective effort but courtesy of him we have one of our dreams here,” Lule told journalists before adding.

“We would like to thank all our fans who have been behind the team the entire season. As we are sighting more fan base here in Wakiso and the entire country, we are looking forward to doing all it takes to see the club host its home games here in Wakiso,” Lule added.

It should be remembered that Wakiso Giants FC hosted its home games in the FUFA Big League at the Kyabazinga ll stadium in Bugembe township after the Wakisha grounds failed to meet the bare minimum standards required by the FUFA Club licensing board.

The function was also attended FUFA president Moses Magogo, Wakiso district LC5 chairperson Matia Lwanga Bwanika.
