Wakiso Giants will be on a hunt for a league double over BUL Bidco FC when they meet at the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium in Wakiso.
The earlier meeting between the two sides this season saw Wakiso edge the Purple Sharks 1-0 in Jinja.
Wakiso Giants will start the day in ninth place with 30 points from 24 games played, while BUL FC sits in 11th position three points shy of their hosts on the StarTimes Uganda Premier League table.
Douglas Bamweyana’s charges go into the Tuesday encounter on the back of a resounding 7-2 home victory over bottom side Kitara FC.
Midfielder Joshua Lubwama got Wakiso on the track after 14 minutes before Edward Satulo, Gaddafi Wahab, Rahmat Ssenfuka, Amos Muwonge and Viane Ssekajugo’s double earned the club their biggest league win in history.
The victory despite being curtailed by a late double from Kitara’s Edson Agondeze also extended Wakiso’s winning streak at home to four games from their last five at the Kabaka Kyabagu.
On the other hand, BUL FC fell to Derrick Ngoobi’s second-minute strike as they were edged 1-0 by Bright Stars at the Kyabazinga Stadium, Bugembe.
Wakiso continues to be without defender Hassan Wasswa Dazo who is still serving a suspension for a red card he received against Busoga United.
Team captain Hassan Ssenyonjo, defender Simon Namwanja and striker Ivan Bogere are also not available due to injury.
Bamweyana’s team will be boosted with the return of midfielder Tom Masiko who has been sidelined through injury.
Wakiso Giants could move to seventh position on the table if they collect maximum points against their visitors on Tuesday.
