Wakiso Giants and Kyetume FC will be involved in a relegation six-pointer when the two sides meet at the Nakisunga Playground on Friday.

Wakiso is 12th while Kyetume lies in 14th positions on the 16-team StarTimes Uganda Premier League log with only four points dividing Wakiso and Kyetume.

Both teams have played 19 games, Wakiso collecting 20 points while Kyetume has gathered 16 points.

The hosts will be hoping to build on their 1-0 victory earned over Busoga United on Tuesday to cut the gap between them their visitors to just a single point.

On the other hand, Douglas Bamweyana’s charges drew 0-0 away from home against leaders Vipers SC on Wednesday, a vital point collected; they should lean on when they visit Nakisunga.

Both sides have failed to master enough wins so far, with each club winning just thrice all season long, drawing most of their games with Wakiso on nine draws – the most of any other team in the league – while Kyetume has drawn seven the same as Mbarara City FC and Express FC.

To draw a clearer picture, the last time they played against each other, Kyetume surrendered a 2-0 lead for the game to end in a two-all stalemate.

The Slaughters are boosted with the return of midfielder Nicholas Kasozi who was voted the man of the match in their victory over Busoga.

While the Purple Sharks will be inspired by striker Ivan Bogere who is gradually finding his scoring touch.

MYDA FC who are 15th on nine points and Kitara FC rock bottom on five points are anticipated not to pose much threat in the survival battle.

And therefore, the battle will be hotly contested by Onduparaka FC, Mbarara City, Wakiso, Busoga and Kyetume on who joins MYDA and Kitara in the drop.
