Creating goal scoring chances is the biggest asset even a first timer will notice about 12 league champions KCCA FC.

The Lugogo side though need to be at their best form to bury a decent portion of the chances they create.

This has been the case in most of the games they have played in the League, the Stanbic Uganda Cup and also on the continent.

It was a similar story when they defeated BUL 2-1 in the Saturday StarTimes Uganda Premier League tie played at Njeru Technical centre.

KCCA FC’s goals were scored by Muzamir Mutyaba and Mike Mutyaba in the 16th and 30th minutes respectively in a half they would have easily scored more.

Mutyaba (Mike) alone would have gone to the break with a hatrick like he did in the 8-2 drubbing of Amuka Bright Stars in the Stanbic Uganda  Cup round of 64. 

The Lugogo side were a enjoy to watch in transition from defense to attack, but that’s all they could offer as Mutyaba, Allan Okello and Steven Serwadda all became victims of wasting chances in front of goal.

“Scoring goals is the definition of football,” KCCA FC manager Mike Mutebi had told journalist going into the tie against BUL.

“We create chances as a team but our conversion rate is still low, it’s an area we need to improve especially if we are to cause fear in the opposition,” he added.

KCCA didn’t help themselves much in the second stanza, especially in the first ten minutes.

Okello, Julius Poloto all missed clear cut seaters with the BUL custodian beaten on all occasions.

Their shyness in front of goal gave BUL the confidence to turn tables around and with 17 minutes left on the clock Jean Pierre Kambale pulled one back. 

KCCA FC held on for the three but not the best of performance from a a team that had scored 25 goals in 12 league games before this outing.
