Vipers SC head coach Michael Nam Ouma congratulated his players for putting up a beautiful show that saw the league holders dismiss Bright Stars 3-0 St Mary’s Stadium Kitende on Friday evening.
The goods were delivered by Denis Mukwala, Tito Okello and Halid Lwaliwa to take Vipers to 41 points, four behind table leaders KCCA FC who had drawn 1-1 with Police on Wednesday.
While in the post press conference, the Kenyan tactician emphasized that the players had done their best on the pitch but there is more on demand as his side is looking at building consistency in league.
“We are in the process of building the consistency with the way we get results as our main target is to win the league,” Ouma said before adding. “The win doesn’t mean that we are okay but we are yet to get there.”
Vipers started without struggling midfielder Moses Waiswa and last season’s top scorer Daniel Muzeyi Sserunkuma, they both didn’t make the bench. Geoffrey Wasswa and Livingstone Mulondo were also kept out because of injuries
“We are going through a transition and we shall keep giving chances to the various players who are on the team because we also want to have a big pool where we pick players” he said.
The win was the first for the Kitende based club in their last three league games, they lost 3-1 to SC Villa at home before drawing 1-1 with Tooro United at Buhinga Stadium in Fort Portal.
