Express FC defender Murushid Juuko is hopeful that the side can bounce back from their disappointment against Onduparaka, and pick-up maximum points when Bright Stars visit the Betway Muteesa II Stadium on Saturday.
Express were held to a 1-1 draw away to Onduparaka in their first game of the season after leading for over 80 minutes in the game.
According to Murushid Juuko, the Red Eagles have rectified the mistakes done in the opening game and therefore are ready to fight for three points.
“The last game wasn’t so easy as we expected, we went expecting a win in Arua but got a draw,” Juuko was quoted by Express FC official website before adding;
Juuko and co have had a week or so to work on their mistakes with their second game against Vipers SC which was scheduled for Wednesday called off which should give them a bit of fresher legs heading into their first home game of the season.
“We’ve been preparing and correcting our mistakes the whole week and we’re sure with the help of the technical team we shall fight to get a win on Saturday.”
Express FC is currently ninth on the log with one point from one game played while Bright Stars is in 10th position from two games played after losing to KCCA FC and drawing against URA FC.
The home side will be without their skipper Enock Walusimbi who is suspended after he was sent off against Onduparaka while Mahad Yaya Kakooza and Ibrahim Kayiwa are currently nursing injuries.
Express FC and Soltilo Bright Stars have met on 11 occasions before with the Wasswa Bbosa coached side picking up four victories, Bright Stars has won once while six games have ended in draws.
