West Nile province are the new FUFA Drum champions following a 3-2 aggregate win in a two legged final against Lango province on Sunday afternoon.
Goals from Dickens Okwiir and Joakim Ojera in the first half seemed to have inspired a comeback for the hosts with the final tied 2-2 on aggregate but a Rashid Toha second half goal ensured West Nile win 3-2 on aggregate despite the 2-1 loss.
“It has come home to West Nile,” said an excited Toha posted on his official Twitter handle before adding that he is happy he scored in both legs.

Lango province claimed the tournament MVP award which was awarded to Denis Omedi, the tournament top scorer in Allan Okello (4 goals).
The best goalkeeper award went to West Nile’s Nafian Alionz who is currently with the Uganda Cranes at CHAN in Algeria. Tooro Province claimed the fair play award.
