There is a good relationship between Young Africans SC president Hersi Ally Said and midfielder Khalid Aucho with the former noting that the latter is his favourite player at the club.
Aucho joined Yanga at the start of the 2021/2022 season and signed a two-year contract which will expire at the end of this campaign.
However, Said told this website that he will not witness the above happen and he is willing to do all it takes to keep the Uganda Cranes midfielder at the Tanzanian champions.
Aucho who is also a darling amongst the Yanga fans who nicknamed him ‘Daktari’ seems to be in a better place and highlighted his relationship with the club president.
“My relationship with Said started even when I was still playing in Egypt that is when he started to persuade me to come to Yanga,” Aucho told Football256.
“I told him that I have suggested contracts from three different clubs and I sent them to him and asked him what his offer was.”
“Even though the money on the contracts I shared with him was a lot he insisted and told me to come to Yanga.”
“I kept on telling him how much I am afraid of Yanga in some aspects let’s say payments which are at times delayed but he gave me the assurance that all is well and here I am,” he added.
Aucho won a treble in his first season with Yanga, the league, FA Cup, and Community Shield and he is hopeful that they will once again touch silverware this campaign.
