The reunions at Express FC are not about to end following the club’s latest capture in midfielder Mahad Yaya Kakooza.
The 23-year-old joins the six-time league champions on a two-year deal from Proline FC becoming Wasswa Bossa’s eighth signing in the current transfer window.
Kakooza who disclosed that he’s a staunch Express FC fan told the club’s website he couldn’t turn down the chance to return to the club.
“Firstly, I am a fan of this great club, my dad too,” he told the club’s website after signing on the dotted line, he added.
“So when the opportunity was presented to me over a move, I couldn’t turn it down. I am glad and happy to be at a club where I am familiar with the surroundings.”
Kakooza played for the Red Eagles during the 2016/17 season and is remembered for scoring the only goal in the club’s 1-0 away win against Busoga United, it was also Express FC’s last away win against the Jinja based outfit.
The attacking midfielder was also named the 2016 Bika Bya Baganda MVP.
He joins fellow midfielder Abel Eturude, two goalkeepers in Cryspus Kusiima and Denis Otim while centre back Richard Bbosa and forward Mustapha Kiragga complete the eight signings by Wasswa Bossa so far.
