The Southern African country of Zambia has joined six other countries that are seeking to host the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Northern Africa’s Morocco and Algeria, Western Africa’s Senegal, Nigeria, Benin, and South Africa are the other six countries in the race.

All seven countries are looking forward to replacing Guinea which was stripped of the hosting rights by CAF in September due to a lack of facilities.

Soon after, CAF reopened the bidding process, and as the year 2022 climaxes a few stages are left before the host is appointed by CAF.

Next week on Friday 16th December, all the interested nations will submit their final bid including all bidding and hosting documents (hosting agreement, host cities agreement, and government guarantees).

Between the 5th and 25th of January 2023, the Inspections will be done before CAF Executive Committee appoint a host on February 10th.
